A very Merry Christmas to one & all. I must say that I often despair at the rampant commercialisation of Christmas these days & the Americanised Coca-Cola version of "Santa", rather than the very real historical figure of Saint Nicholas/Father Christmas.
I was also recently shocked to discover that one of our big local retail stores had actually removed all their Christmas merchandise from their shelves 2 weeks before Christmas Day, & replaced it with other non-Christmas merchandise. For that retailer - it seemed that they thought Christmas was over, before it had even begun! So bad luck to those people who might have been going there to do a bit of last-minute Christmas shopping. It seems that very few of our retail stores understand the true meaning of Christmas, or even when Christmas actually is, these days.
And don't get me started on all the hokery pokery wokery nonsense that people carry on with these days at Christmas time - not wanting to offend people with the word "Christmas" - but quite happy to offend some people by still wishing others a happy Eid, Ramadan, Hannukah, Purim, Diwali etc. And the funny thing is that these people are just way too stupid to even realise how hypocritical they are being, with their supposed "woke" behaviours. The secular society at the moment, seems to be taking giant leaps & strides backwards, unfortunately...
SO blessed with your input Calvin on GBNEWS this year and God bless this channel for putting Christ at the centre of Christmas. For many years, this hasn't been the case on other channels. The woke brigade have started messing with the carols, replacing the original words with 'more inclusive' ones. So fed up with this....and so disappointed with the Prime Minister's 'Christmas message'. Oh well, whether folk believe in our wonderful Saviour or not, everything stops for Him. To God be the Glory! Merry Christmas everyone.
Eid, Ramadan, Hannukah, Diwali etc are OK because what mainstream Western society is opposed to is not just Christians per se, but rather Jesus Christ himself. Christians are only opposed so far as they reflect Jesus Christ. The spirit of Anti-Christ is alive and flourishing in once great Christian-guided cultures.
And hello to all the other members on here 🙂 I’ve just signed up, and I’m very much looking forward to having meaningful and interesting conversations with everyone on here.
My name is Terry, and I am a Christian that firmly holds to Biblical Truth. Hopefully I am amongst like-minded people on here. I guess it will make a nice change posting something on here, as opposed to social media. Because social media can be a very unfriendly place at times, especially if you’re posting Christian messages. Jesus Christ is my life.
Introduction over, I look forward to joining the community on here. Hopefully we can talk about serious matters, but also have some fun.
Well said Calvin- the more people invoke His name the closer they are to finding Him- very well put....praying for the salvation of many this season...
Merry Christmas All, I am not religious but support everyone‘a right to celebrate in what ever way they wish (excluding harm to others obviously), I am these days how ever increasingly drawn towards intelligent religious beliefs and feel society has lost something without the framework.

I'm all for taking Christmas celebrations back to pre 1890 and meat feasts over mint and fruitcake,
but Coca Cola memorabilia down to the cheques written for installing fountains, wool dyed in natural colors and antiques were
all in the same store with money wire capability in Louisiana even in 2010.
Coca Cola is honestly the world entity most responsbile for all over the map purified water though we try to do
charity work now. Sometimes we are still using it esoterically -- but I did have to have a real argument with a business partner
who wanted Coke to do the work still about Maine Root Soda and Zevia.
I bought a lot of dishware and made craft and tea trades with Australia and New Zealand -- thinking about
what it would like to be "business man from India like SEVEN" before I hit a masonic grain silo in Dallas that once fed
four children before a problem. I have photos. We still sometimes have to ask what that Santa was doing.
I do mean fruitcake over meatfeasts.
Merry Christmas! I pray that the UK can withstand demoralization. The woman arrested for praying was terrifying. https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/how-to-celebrate-christmas

What a lovely message, happy Christmas Calvin.
I did a bit on Saint Nicholas, so I'm glad you mentioned him https://open.substack.com/pub/scottcampbell/p/christmas-canoe?r=1eopzd&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Merry Christmas, sir!
Thank you for the work you do in protecting and promoting our values, our heritage, and our way of life.
Enjoy this period of peace and reflection, and I hope to see you continue on from strength to strength in the years to come.
