The Promethean Action ladies have recommended some interesting books about the UK's involvement (starting over 100 years ago) with radical Islam and Islamists. Secret Affairs by Mark Curtis for one. The UK government started out using them as a tool to manipulate situations. I'm not sure if the radical Islamists haven't turned things around.

I'm glad you're here with us in America, Father Calvin. I also appreciate your love for your mother country. Since I was a boy, I've been an old-fashioned Anglophile, and it's painful to see what's happening to Britain.
Regarding this Leftist/Islamic alliance, it seems to me that since they both hate Western Civilization and white people so much, they've convinced themselves that they can work together for the time being. This ultimately didn't work out so well for the Left in the Iranian Revolution, but we seem to be going through a slow-motion version of what happened with that. Hopefully we won't see the same outcome, with either the Left or Islam succeeding.
