At least there are sane elements of your church not being BANNED, CANCLLED or DISROBED as here in the States. Our finest, faithful Priests are being 'put out' by the Bishops and some laymen even sense after standing in opposition to this banishment as though they're being spiritually attacked even into the night and still feel it and pray the next day. We Catholics now have a Pope openly heretical, appointing blasphemous/sexually perverse apostates into hierarchy of Authority in the Vatican and who is selling-off tracks of land with old churches as the representative of parishes to squirrel away the money. He placed an idol/Demon god of South America called Pachamama on the alter to be worshiped and has accepted billions of LAUNDERED TAXPAYER $$$ in the U.S. to settle ILLEGAL ALIENS INTO THE UNITED STATES at $4,000.00 per person to get through Mexican Cartels...And then, to OCCUPY ILLEGALLY AND TO GET FREE Entitlements to the tune of $9,000.00 per month per family.
The International Mafia Cult in their GMO Communist/Fascist Feudalism has determined our traditions, values, mores, norms and laws...Especially, those of The Bible...MUST BE CONDEMNED AS EVIL WHILE EVIL IS MADE GOOD. It only becomes logical when it's known to be EXACTLY how PSYCHO/SOCIOPATHIC PREDATORS operate; like Hitler, Stalin, Mao and many Monarchies through time. THEY COMPETE for Moral Superiority and most certainly won't change since having no laws and boundaries, integrity, honor ALLOWS FOR VIRTUALLY 100% needs gratification almost immediately. Manipulating and Forcing sin and crime is the FACTOR ALLOWING THEM TO FEEL MORALLY SUPERIOR. They ATTACK SOCIETY TO CHANGE WHAT'S VIEWED EVIL IN SOCIETY to GOOD; it's upside down and inside out.
Disgusting, isn't it? Pray and Fast often in reparation for the pain of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Yes, as you say, disgusting. But, just for clarity, it's not my church. The Lord led me out of organised church in 2007. The true church belongs only to Jesus, and to no-one else. :)
Absolutely; concur to the only Church belonging to Jesus Christ. THAT is the good news. Still, very sad to watch the formal Churches to be becoming so anti-God to the point of removing words and whole verse 'The Holy Bible' considered 'politically incorrect' now. It's all sad.
Yes. It makes me sad too, naturally speaking - but look at it this way - the Lord told us that all these things would take place shortly before His return - so none of it is a surprise to Him. These things, and worse, must happen. If He is our refuge, then we will see things from His perspective, and nothing that happens in this world can drag us down.
Very well said indeed. It's about time the Anglican Communion separated itself from the heretical & clearly apostate Church of England, with its endorsement of such unscriptural practices as wanting to bless what God describes as sinful. Glad to see that the rest of the Anglican Communion has endorsed adherence to Biblical principles & teachings.
I will just add to my previous comment: This is staggering, it is huge - 85% of Christians in the world! Electing a new first among equals! I never dreamt there could be such a significant move; all I knew was a deep misery about the C of E. This is wonderful, dynamic!
I feel the same-sex issue is serving the purpose of being a catalyst for what needed to happen i.e. to part company from the Church of England, which has been sliding rapidly downhill. It needed to be done. Even someone like me, committed to the C of E for 60 years, had had enough.
I came to the ECNA at age 8 ½ upon returning to the USA after living in Rio de Janeiro. I have repeatedly gone to the rectors of the church I belonged to in two different cities to ask how the church could remove what God called Sin, and how their preaching of the Bible could be true if you did this. It’s a sounding gong and troubled me so deeply I left a year ago and now I shall look for an ACNA church.
This Kigali conference has exceeded my high expectations. The feeling of fellowship, oneness of purpose and love amongst all of the participants is palpable, exciting and quite overwhelming. Only good can result in this coming together of all these amazing people who want to stay true and faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word.
Alleluia. What a wonderfully sane, reassuring, properly-intentioned piece of writing. It is balm to one's soul, music to the ears! After all the dreary, petty, ghastly, depressing stuff in the C of E - which has personally made me, very sadly, quit - what a joy it is to hear such wholehearted godliness; which leaves behind the misleading preoccupations of the C of E. I felt, reading it, that it is simply about what God wants e.g. a practical example: helping those Christians who are persecuted.
I feel I can breathe again - finally finally be able to forget about all the negativity that has steadily engulfed the C of E, at an increasing pace. What is expressed here is so beautifully dignified.
This is sad but necessary decision. Where does that leave the Church of England in England? How will the churches function? Where does that leave property rights?
Just to clarify....when I said "I already belong to a political party...I did not return to church to fulfill a political need." I am referring to the woke C of E decision to go politically correct.
I already belong to a political party...I did not return to church to fulfill a political need.
Seems to me that the woke church leaders have taken the easy road of political correctness rather than risking persecution.
Matthew 5:10, Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness
Matthew 7:13-14: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
Thank you, Father Calvin, for your report! I have been looking forward to the news from GAFCON. Also, I appreciate the comments and linked article by Mark Marshall. I share his concern regarding ordination of women. Although I was “born” on the Rome side of the Tiber, large portions of my life have been spent swimming back and forth and visiting other ports of call (The Eucharist always calls me home and currently, that is a church affiliated with the APA in the USA.)! I do have problems with the concept of ordination of women as priests. If you, Father Calvin, or anyone else can help me understand how this is understood within the Anglican Communion, I would appreciate it. Again, thank you, Father Calvin! You are an inspiration and I pray for you daily.
All this is excellent and right, however having not seen in full a copy of the document from this conference, I can say that referencing scripture upon which the declaration is made is missing. For most of the world would still miss the point being emphasized unless they're are pointed to specific scriptures that underpin the document and statements made!
Pray, praying, prayed! May Gods will be done. May we purpose like Daniel not to defile ourselves! Calvin Robinson, you are in my prayers always. Had to leave the blue bird because when your Godly in training you cant have these distractions. It was making me angry. I thank God for this method of communication. I also ask for prayer. Still fighting for my daughter in Texas kidnapped by the state for being Christian and would not conform to her new gender identity. I will not comply with this evil agenda! We were warned and its our time to STAND! If God be for us Who can be against us, nothing is Bigger than the great I AM! May he continue to bless you, and protect you during this Fight! Amen!
The practical question is, as the post says, what to do about a leader of the Communion. "Figurehead" isn't quite the word, more like primus inter pares. It's good to have a speaker. "Speaker" might be a good name, in fact. Maybe have an election by the bishops every 10 years-- it should be a long term.
With respect, I think there is evidence to show that the C of E has been in apostasy for a very long time.

Absolutely spot on excellent as it should be
Fr. Calvin, thanks for your participation in GAFCON IV. I concur that it is an excellent statement with two minor criticisms.

Thanks for your kind word about my article.
Your question about WO would take a lllllong answer. :)
But even among orthodox Anglicans, policies vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction and even diocese to diocese.
For me personally, Scripture and tradition had me leaning against WO. Seeing it in practice now has me more firmly against it.
I agree with you. I visited the website you linked in order to see the article and will return to read more. Thank you!
